How to Apply













Qualification of International students


1. International students must hold foreign nationality.

2. Chinese students immigrants to foreign countries, one or both their parents of Chinese citize-ns and settled in foreign countries, the student was born with a foreign nationality, must hold   avalid passport or foreign nationality certificate 4 years (including) and above, the docutment  to prove that in the past four years (deadline for application isb April 30 of the same year),   the student actual living abroad for more than two years.

          1. For undergraduate programs: Applicants shall gain HSK-4 certificate to enter Chinese-

          taught programs.

          2. For master’s programs: Applicants’ Chinese proficiency shall be equal to or exceed HSK-4               level to enter Chinese-taught programs. Each applicant must provide at least two recommendation             letters from experts whose professional title is above associate professor.

          3. The teaching languages for doctoral students are Chinese and English. Applicants’ Chinese 

          proficiency shall be equal to or exceed HSK-4 level to enter Chinese-taught programs. And each 

          applicant must provide at least two recommendation letters from experts whose professional title             is above professor.

          Note: Applicants who do not meet the above requirement in language proficiency may still be                 considered. They may first be admitted as non-degree seeking students for one academic year to 

          study Chinese. Those who pass the Chinese examination one year after will be automatically                   accepted as regular students.


  

           Application Time and Procedure


           1. The application period is from February 1 to May 20 each year.

           2. Prepare all required documents and complete the application process on BUPT website (https:/             /bupt.17gz.org/) (The original documents must be presented when applicants arrive at campus) OR m            ail all documents to us (Mailing address: Postbox 211, International Office, Beijing University o            f Posts and Telecommunications, 10# Xitucheng Road, Haidian District, Beijing, P. R. China, Post-            code:100876).

           3. All application materials will be reviewed by the university. Once the application is                    approved, BUPT will send BUPT Admission Notice and the Application Form for Students from                    Overseas (JW202 Form for short) and mail the two documents to successful applicants;

           4. The applicant goes in person to Chinese Embassy in his or her own country to apply for a (X)              visa to study in China with the following materials: JW 202 Form, BUPT Admission Notice, Physical            Examination Record for Foreigners;

           5. After going through the above application procedures, the applicant shall enroll in BUPT                  within the time notified in the BUPT.
